WHAT IS TRAIN DRIVER SAFETY QUOTIENT?
Train Driver Safety Quotient™ (DSQ™) is a personality and behavioral assessment designed for adults who drive as part of their occupation. The assessment helps identify patterns of behavior and can be used to implement solutions for maximizing individuals’ strengths and minimizing their safety risks while on the road or in the workplace. DSQ™ is used in a wide range of settings including business, education, training and coaching and it is intended for workers who drive trains as part of their occupation.

USING DSQ™ IT WAS FOUND THAT:
Drivers and Operators with high Resistant scores received on average 4.6 times more incidents than those with low scores.
Drivers and Operators with high Irritable scores had an average incident rate 2.6 times higher than those with low scores.
Drivers and Operators with high Distractible scores had on average 139% more At-Fault Accidents than those with low scores.

HOW IT WORKS
The assessments can be taken on-line, via computer, tablet and mobile device, from anywhere with an internet connection (e.g., at home, at work, on client premises). The assessment takes approximately 15 minutes to complete but there is no time limit. There are no right or wrong answers, and there is no “pass” or “fail.” It’s all about understanding people better.
Once candidates have completed the assessment, 2 versions of the DSQ™ reports are generated: The Employer Report and the Participant Report. Reports can be email to speciﬁc parties within one hour of completion and can also be accessed by logging into our TalentClick assessment portal, using your own unique username and password. You will receive 2 standard versions of the DSQ™ report:
Employer Report: Provides descriptions of strengths, areas for coaching and development, job-ﬁt considerations, and management tips for the participant.
Participant Report: Provides self-coaching and self-study strategies to build Safety Self-Awareness.
The assessment is available in multiple languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Mandarin, Punjabi, Tagalog, and more currently in development.
DSQ™ validity was established through factor analysis and inter-scale correlations and meets the standard speciﬁed in the EEOC’s Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures (1978). DSQ™ validity has also been established through research we’ve conducted with client organizations where we correlate actual safety incidents on the job (injuries, ﬁrst aid, equipment damage, near misses, etc.) for employees and their DSQ™ assessment results.
